My flowers are not as distinguished as the picture looks. The back do not lay flat I have to sew the back flat in order for the flower to look like it has petals. I hope you can understand what I am saying.

Now the heart one is just beautiful no problem at all. Can you help me. Are you stitching the inside in your flower yo-yo?? I have found that by first pulling the gathering string and securing it with several knots that makes the back a dainty gather in the center.

Next I draw up the outside — sometimes as I gather I ease the stitches around by placing my finger in the petal area and using my finger to help shape each petal.
