Castaway game walkthrough

I have seen these pets as monsters in another game, Ultimate Tactics. Oh and I just found Ultimate Defense 2, definitely going to play that later. It's an unabashed grind fest, complete with random drop collection quests. There's no world map once you leave the village, so navigation has to be done by memory.

Which wouldn't be so bad if there was some way to spot where the maps connect. Speaking of which, it's not always obvious if terrain can be walked across. Not often, but often enough to be irritating.

Click-to-walk would be immensely useful, but I guess that would be a luxury. As an above guest mentioned: clicking "Next" should not just close the agonizingly slow scrolling text. Best hope you learn the icons for potions fast enough. If you have to mouse-over to check, you're likely dead before you used the potion. Poison is really irritating, but made infinitely worse by not being cleared when you rest in the inn.

Real-time pet hatching? C'mon… this isn't a tamagotchi. It's a strange game, because on the one hand it is obviously very well crafted with an attention to details, good graphics and so, but on the other hand there are so many flaws, minor but still inconceivable, like: - no pause??? There are many others that I can't remember. It seems like some game developers just want to release just as many games as possible without finishing them. Still it's obvious a lot of time was spent on creating this one.

Please help! I have the grass generator quest but cannot work out where the exit is to the grasslands! I was going to make a screenshot map, but I have to point out: it is easy to figure out where the exits are.

Remember what the beginning text said about the origins of the island? This is one of those games that doesn't require a lot of thought. Something to play on your downtime at work.. The only problem I am having is finding the exit to the next map on the jungle one. I must have killed 50 venom snakes and still cannot figure out where the next map is??

I've been reading all the Comments, and No one has answered this question, which I also wanna ask. People to get the sand generator you just have to go where you can! In only 1 map there are 2 ways and 1 is closed! If i remember well, you have to go first south east, the second map go north east, then north east again It's impossible to not find it, it's HUGE and just turns it touching it with the character.

How on earth do you get to the grasslands? I have grinded up to level 12 just looking for the next board!

Have activated the sand generator, but have found no exit to the grasslands. What am I doing wrong? Another trick i noticed is auto attacking is honestly slow, So if you get 2 guys to come at you at once.. Therein lies the problem with why I can't get to the Grasslands I have turned on the Sand Generator, but Castaway Beach is still the only area of the map I can click on. Does "Grasslands" appear on the map in a clickable title? It appears there may be a bug or else I am missing something It's to the right on the map.

If it's not lit up like the beach is, you haven't finished the beach. What all do you have to do to finish the beach? Is there more than just activating the sand generator? I have done that, but no "grassland" appears? Very odd One is that my backslap is not working Elina, Regarding special abilities not lighting up when fully charged I used to think that there was something wrong with it, too, until I realized that I now try to target the enemies well before they see me so I can be ready to hit them with a special attack when they get close.

If you target an enemy, hit a special attack button and double-click the enemies just as the special attack is starting, you will do a second special attack instantly including both the action and the damage. This works best with the "Combo" attack 8 hits instead of just 4 , but I've also successfully done this with all special attacks including double Back Stabs and double Shield Smashes.

Still, the developer seems to be taking suggstions for a sequel. On the second map go up past the two pillars. There should be a place where you can go to a new area at the top of the map. Then on the new map take the upper left exit. It's to the right, trust me you'll find it. The sand generator should be on the third map to the far right.

But watch out! I just got there and was killed by a scorpion. Help pls ppl i am lv 18 and i cant pass the pink goo things the girl mutant watever and i cant find the genrator unless they pink mutants leave. Uhm, I feel really special for getting this bloody far and having this particular issue Where's the LAST generator, the magma generator or even, where are the ogre lords????

I see ogres, i see skeleton warriors which are in the last section connected to my magma map i see fire elementals which are on a map connected to nothing as well. Am i missing something??? The only thing i can think of is i didnt finish the ice sword quest Can anyone enlighten me as to what i should do? OK, something that really bugs me about this game is there is no description of what the skills do. Where is the stick? I start the game, i get my pet, i beat the first beatle, but when i get to the part "Maybe i could use that stick to help fight beatles", can someone please tell me where the stick is.

I may be blind or it's the game, but i would really like to play. Im level 11, and i am so annoyed to the first pet. Because it is weak and have low hp, and dont have any special ability. Can anyone recommend any good pet to hatch that can be found at jungle map?

Like Elena said, i tried her special attack combo thing. Works hella well. I also learned you could. If you select an enemy, attack it, select your special attack and then double click it's kinda hard to get the timing down but you'll do you're normal attack and then do the double special attack. It's also quite easy, effective, and fun to just. I'm sure most of you figured this out in the first 10 minutes of playing..

Can anyone post how to get-off the island? I've done activating all the generators and all the tasks What does eva mean on the stats And I hate the fact that your hero can so easily be crossed by faster enemies especially in the Ice and Volcano stages EVEN when you have the speed boots on!

Making you so easily cornered by two monsters. Poison will not be a problem if the monster deals you damage per hit. And of course you will get to kill the monster in hits.

Grinding will get even easier than fighting equal level monsters once you can kill the weaker monster in 3 shots. Easy peezy The items are useful! It will really increase your resistance and all around capability to handle monsters. I recommend completing that quest 25 ice shards needed first before the Freeze skill 10 ice shards needed quest. Don't rush to the generators, complete all quests of the current stage first, by doing so, you will be very well prepared for the next stage.

Always carry 1 Castaway Feather with you! Very useful once you get a generator running, and you'll never know if a number of monsters suddenly spawns or moves towards you bad luck if that happens. Don't waste money on potions, you won't need them until the Volcano or Ice stage, just keep grinding.

Your first starting pet should be the beetle. When you get to the grasslands, get the big red Beetles. Beetles are good because they have high HP and higher average attacks. First you need to have a net. Second, you cannot get too close to them before you throw. Sometimes when you throw the movement itself will cause them to scurry away. Be sure to pick up your net and not wander away. All this requires is to not click on something before you pick up your net.

You left your net somewhere else and are going back to get it. Just run along and you'll find it. The trick to fishing is to click and then wait for your fishing line to turn white or at least light pink before clicking again. You will catch a rock if you cast too near a rock or up the shore.

Sometimes you will catch a shoe or a shark will get your bait. When you first cast you will see a bobber for your cursor. The bobber in the water will bob 3 times before you hook the fish. Then your cursor will turn into a fish. Upgrading your fishing rod will decrease the number of times you have to click and the strength of your line. The first time you have to find rosemary, it is not going to be in the usual spots but it in the planting beds in Central Forest.

You have to grow them. You will be given some seeds at first, but then you will need to buy them at the store. If you plan on growing them down at the camp, where it is a bit faster because you have more plots, buy them in batches of Each seed will grow to fruition in about 45 seconds.

The items come up at random but in equal proportions. Just dig a hole and drop in the seed. To do so, you can queue up your clicks but just don't click off the plots or on the menus or you will stop digging. To eat, open your bag and double click on the food. Below is a list of the food value of items. If you don't think you will need an item, use the higher value food or one that you have plenty of.

I found that I frequently had the ingredients for a cocktail, which had a lot of food value. To prepare food, click on the cooking button, choose your recipe, and if you have the ingredients, you can select cook. The icons of ingredients will show you the number you have on hand and then the number you need for the recipe.

If you have enough, the icons will be green; if not, they will be red. Some recipes have a fire icon, which means it needs to be cooked. It can only be prepared at one of the two fires. If you click on the fire, the cursor will turn into a cooked bird and the menu will open. The recipes without a fire can be prepared anywhere, even while moving. Inventory bags--more room Shovel--less shovelfuls to dig a hole Fishing rod--stronger line, less clicks, and final upgrade will allow you to fish without bait Axe--Less chops to make planks Bow--less shots needed to kill.

Double click on the potion in your inventory. Note the green progress bar that shows how much time you have left with the potion. In the northern cave in the mountains. Walk straight ahead when you come in and it will be in a large crevice between two tall rocks. It will be in the plantar where the rogue boars are. You can't grow it. You've got to get that particular one. Osanjin--Central Beach northwest in the grass by the water Olukun--Northern Beach west behind a tree Oduduva--Western Forest by the ramshackle huts Tano--Northwester cave on the way into the mountains.

Dungu--Mountains in the northeast Otau--Northern Forest Ifa--Central Beach cave off to the right, past where you find John br Obiem--behind edelweiss in the northern cave Obatala--in the new cave off to the left Olorun--Heart of the Island--behind the lemon tree Oke--Swamp northern end Oshumare--Heart of Island cave--The first two times you will enter the cave will be from the Heart of the Island.

There are a lot of funky paths and you can't go straight through. Click in the general direction that you want to go in and let yourself run around to avoid falling in the deeper water. Click on the middle of the left side of your screen. Only click when you stop. You will hit a rock wall after awhile and should see the exit light a little below you.

John will be there the first. Go to the exit light. If you go out don't worry. Just go back in. Now click on the middle of the right side, only when you stop moving. Do this 3 times. You will stop right below the rock where the statuette is. If you can't see it, just move a little further along the bottom of the rock. It is on the side of the rock island that you are on. To get out just click 3 times on the left. It is that cloudy area between the swamp and the village.

You can't get there until near the end. First, do not say goodbye to all of the villagers until you get the trophies.

You cannot go back and get them after you finish the game. Following the walkthrough--this is more than just one way to play the game. Sometimes you will have more than one task and you can more easily complete one than another. For example, Nick's later food requests can be done right away or more slowly depending on what you have in your inventory.

You need a shovel. It's further down the beach. She wants water - You can choose to talk to Mike, Nick, or Nicole about finding water. Nick and Nicole will tell you to ask Mike - Mike will give you water to take to Amy who wants to find her daughter. You take her to the camp. If you don't have enough lemons or sticks, collect them while you are on your way to John. He wants you to find 4 logs for a raft and come find him.

She gives you the recipe. Look for him and pick up your fruit he is on the northwest edge of CB - Talk to Mike and give him the logs, he will tell you to ask Amy about she heard her daughter's voice - Amy will ask you to find Steffi who is across the river to the northeast.

Your cursor will turn into a boat when you click on the raft. Pick it up. Hug the rock wall and head to the left of the face until you find the clay deposit. Harvest clay. Harvest everything in the area — especially Sisal as you need this to make Rope and Twine. When you've finished, locate the grassy trail with the Silver Feet above it. It should be just about perfectly opposite the Skull Face. Take this trail to the West River Plains.

New Shelters and Farming Tools are also unlocked. I found my 2nd crewmate here. Get Chicken Feathers from the ground when a chicken runs off. The first time you collect the feathers new clothing plans are unlocked. Build a Chicken Trap and Trap a chicken. It may take a while after you've set the trap to actually trap one.

You just have to keep trying. I would trap more than one so you can use one to eat and use one to harvest eggs. You will be able to build a chicken coop later on and harvest the eggs from it. There are a lot of new fruits here. When you're ready to move on to the next area you have 2 choices: craft a bridge or climb. If you wish to climb — go to the Silver Feet to your right and climb done.

This takes a lot of energy away from you though. If you wish to craft a bridge then go to the Silver Feet on your left. Approach the stones and select Craft Bridge. Crafting the bridge builds your Mechanical level and requires less energy to cross. This is the route I take.

If you don't have rope yet, build a Crafting Bench and craft some here so you don't have to return to the beach. There's Sisal in this area too if you need it. Note you cannot cross here yet due to the quicksand. Face the pillars then look left just past the Sisal plant. It's your 6th Hieroglyphic piece. Grab it. In this area you will meet a Wild Boar. Follow him or stand in his way and he will fight you. If you win you get plans for Boar clothes and a scarecrow unlocked, the Hunt a Boar goal completed, and a big fat ham to eat!

Cut away the vines then walk a step or 2 forward until you see the Transmitter. Put it in your inventory. Proceed straight past the plane to the small shoreline, take 1 step into the water and look to your left.

You will see your 7th Hieroglyphic piece lying in the water. Now look back along the shoreline to your right. You will see the Princess Loofalava statue on the other end of the beach. Go pick it up. Head back to the plane and take the path to the right with the Silver Feet. This leads to East Beach. Harvest all you can from this area then head on to East Beach. You have also unlocked new plans for Home Decorations and Musical Instruments. This is also where I found my final crewmate.

Go to the far right side of the beach where you see what looks like a pile of sand and pick up all of the Stones. If you have a hammer and chisel you can harvest the Pumice sand pile now. If not either craft a bench and make the tools or just come back later to get it. Once you've harvested all you can from the beach, inspect either of the stone pillars. It gives you a new goal of getting to the volcano and unlocks plans for a canoe.

When able, craft the canoe, rest up, and then head for the Volcano. Your crewmates will automatically follow so don't worry about them. New shelter plans are unlocked and you receive the Biscuit Isle book with new goals. Go to the far right side of the island and look behind small boulder with the pink and yellow flowers in front of it.

There you will find the 4th and final statue — the Queen Loofalava statue. This completes the "Find the 4 Statues" goal. It would be a good idea to go ahead and build a small shelter, beds, fire pit, and home tiki here so your crewmates can maintain themselves and not die. If a crewmate does die go to their grave it will look like a rock and mourn.

Once you do that you will be able to pick the Death Daisy. Harvest all you can from here then explore up the hill to Volcano Jungle.

Circle around the path until you see the beehives, then focus on the small ledge behind them. There's a hot spring there. Climb the small hill that leads to the ledge and head towards the hot spring.

About halfway there on your left is your 8th Hieroglyphic piece. Once you have that, go get into the hot spring. You will find a piece to the Treasure Map. Get out of the hot spring. You've now completed the "Find the Hot Spring" goal.

Harvest everything in this area including the Honeycomb from the beehive. To do this you must have the Torch. This will allow you to first Smoke Out the bees. If you don't you will only get stung and no honeycomb!

Once you are through continue on to the Geyser Plains. Just to the left on the ground is the final Hieroglyphic piece. The Hieroglyphic Stele plan is now unlocked. When these are later forged together they fit inside the rectangular space you see on the door and a new path opens.

Once you've finished harvesting everything in the area head to the cliff by the steam geysers and Silver Feet. You will notice you cannot yet pass here. Just to the right of the Silver Feet is a small path leading up a small hill with a large boulder on top. Approach the boulder and choose "Inspect. If not, go craft it. Your Sim will chisel the rock so it falls below to cover the geyser so you can pass. Now head back down to the feet and you will see you can now pass.
